I actually planned to make a post about my haul, but it’s overdue way too looooooooong, it’s impossible for me to make a haul post out of it. I apologize for my laziness.
So, I decided to make a post about my favorite items that I’ve bought from August until early October, along with some sort of mini review of said items. The items mentioned in this list are not restocks; I’ve tried them for the very first time.
Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
I already mentioned in my review of the essence variant (here) that I bought this moisturizer, since I love the essence so much. This steam cream is great as night moisturizer, since I find that it is too oily to be used at day. This cream doesn’t break me out, and I find that my face is smoother after using it. I’m also a fan of the tube packaging, since it’s more hygienic
L.A. Girl Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil in Brown
One thing I can say about this eyeliner is: DAMN! Damn good, I mean. It’s cheap, glides on smoothly, and once it dries/settles, it won’t budge. I mean it. All of my eyeliners in the past will always end up being smudged, but this one doesn’t. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that this eyeliner is truly waterproof? Unfortunately, I ruined this eyeliner because I tried to sharpen it. You can see the ruined body and tip at the left photo.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip
I bought two Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip(s), November and Frick n’ Frack. These Ultra Satin Lip(s) are not my first buy, since I’ve already bought Echo Park actually. But, I will still dub this as my first experience, since they are in different colors.
And, my favorite color would be November (don’t get me wrong, I still like Frick n’ Frack). It’s pink (FYI, I don’t like pink), but doesn’t seem too girly and suitable for daily wear. Even though it’s a quite bright color, it matches with my skin tone. Maybe I’m being too much, but every time I wear this, I suddenly feel prettier. Another plus is that it’s a dupe of Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Rose Matter. Oh yeah.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
I bought a total of three shades: Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Rome. I really like both colors. The peachy-nude Stockholm is good for everyday wear. It makes my lips look different, in a good way, but the color is still in the nude range. While the vampire red Copenhagen is good if you want a drastic change in your whole look. When I wear this, I feel like Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman is playing as BGM. I’m still figuring out how to pull out this color, though. I’m still not that brave enough to wear this bold color. As for Rome, it’s freakin’ hard to find this shade, since it’s often sold out. The brownish color is great to amp up your everyday look without looking too much.
I also like the fact that the price for these lip creams are reasonable, they are not drying, very pigmented, smooth application, delicious scent (some sort of vanilla, but it doesn’t linger), and there are 34 colors in total available! I’m holding myself from hoarding various shades of these lip creams.
So, these are my favorites of the month. But, it’s too early to say that these items will be a constant buy to me, especially for the skincare.
